Ever more coffee connoisseurs swear by brewing their coffee by hand in a traditional porcelain coffee filter: first moisten the ground coffee in the paper filter with a little boiling water. Then slowly add water to the ground coffee in a circular motion, starting from the centre. The water should not hit the paper filter directly and should stand about 1 cm above the ground coffee. Now, carefully stir and let the water run through the filter. Add water as often as necessary and repeat the steps above – soon, you’ll be ready to enjoy a nice and steaming mug of coffee.
